'Tis the Season!

Dear Ladies,

My sincere apologies for the long delay in updating our blog. We've had so many Christmas celebrations this month, I've barely been able to keep up! (Is anyone with me on this?!) At any rate, I am thrilled to share with you that our church will host the Beth Moore Simulcast on April 24, 2010!

In preparation for the event, the Ladies' Ministry team invites you to the first meeting of the new year on Wednesday, January 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Ladies' Ministry Room. This will serve as the kickoff meeting for planning the simulcast, as well as Ladies' Ministry events for 2010.

Also, we will collaborate with Ladies' Ministry Teams from our sister churches Valley Baptist to view a live conference on Tuesday, February 2 at 6:30 p.m.

Please contact Dawn if you have questions or would like to attend the meeting at fbcdawn@sbcglobal.net. And, if you have comments or suggestions for the blog, please e-mail fbcsearcyladiesministry@gmail.com.

Thankfulness Post.

"I am so thankful for my family this year! I'm thankful to have a sweet husband and happy, healthy baby! God is good! Love keeping up with the blog and looking forward to Beth's new book and simulcast."

Beth Moore's '7 Attributes of God.'

Several ladies from FBC Searcy ventured over the river for an opportunity to worship with Beth Moore in early October.

For this Living Proof Live event, Beth talked about the Seven Attributes of God:

1. God abounds with love.
2. God guards His love for us.
3. God teems with compassion.
4. God is scandalously forgiving.
5. God is inconcievably gracious.
6. God abounds in faithfulness.
7. God is slow to anger.

Please share your Living Proof Live with Beth Moore experience with us by sending a message to fbcsearcyladiesministry@gmail.com.

Bible studies for fall.

The Ladies' Ministry is planning two great Bible studies for the fall:

"Me, Myself & Lies: A Thought Closet Makeover" by Jennifer Rothschild is a six-week course that encourages women to clear out the hidden, negative thoughts and replace those with positive truths from God's word. The study begins Wednesday, September 9. The two Wednesday sessions will be at 9 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Read more about the study here.

Also, the Vicki Courtney Bible study "5 Conversations You Must Have with Your Daughter" will begin Sunday, September 13 at 4:45 p.m. Vicki prepares Moms to have five conversations with their daughters that will empower them to stand firm in today's society. Check out Vicki Coutney's "5 Conversations You Must Have with Your Daughter" blog here.

Classes for both studies will meet in the Ladies' Ministry Room at FBC. To sign up for one, or both, of the studies call Dawn Jacobs at 268-3561 or e-mail her at fbcdawn@sbcglobal.net.
